About the Course

This is a 5 hour, step by step, beginner friendly workshop, where appreciators of all things Zelda will learn how to design and sew a Korok stuffie of their very own! We’ll be using beginner friendly yarn needles and fabric to create these cheeky Hyrulian spirits, we’ll also learn:

  • How to transfer our template on to fabric
  • Running and back stitch to create our Koroks so they are easy to stuff
  • To tint fabric with paint
  • How to create iconic Korok masks and leaf umbrellas from felt and fabric

Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 10 to ensure that everyone has a unique, and personalised learning experience.

All supplies and tools are provided. As sewing needles and scissors will be used in this workshop, this class is recommended for children ages 9+.  Since this is a 5 hour workshop, students will have a small break in the middle of the session. They are encouraged to bring a drink and a nut free snack.

Given the nature of art classes, it is also recommended that students wear comfortable clothing that they don’t mind getting a bit of paint and glue on :)

About the Course

In this 2 hour pom – pom making workshop we’ll be celebrating the spooky season with the fluffiest of flying mammals, bats! We’ll learn how to make these quirky critters using wool, felt, pipe cleaners, and beads! There will also be a little Pokemon themed twist for anyone who has a pokedex to to fill ;) Perfect for ages 7 and up :)

Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 12 to ensure that everyone has a unique, and personalised learning experience.

All supplies and tools are provided. Students are encouraged to bring a drink and a nut free snack.

About the Course

What a better way to celebrate the spooky season by creating a Ghost Type Pokemon themed Diorama! In this 3 hour workshop, we’ll be sculpting some spooky ghost type Pokémon from polymer clay along with learning to create the following:

  • How to create the ruins of a haunted house using beads and wood
  • How to embroider and sew our spooky garden and interior! This is very beginner friendly, and students will be guided every step of the way as they learn running stitch.
  • How to make a carpeted platform from mini popsicles and fabric

Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 12 to ensure that everyone has a unique, and personalised learning experience.

All supplies and tools are provided. About the Course

In Exploring Comics, budding comic artists create original comics based on the term’s theme. This course is designed for students who want to tell original stories, create comics of their very own, and who want to develop their drawing abilities. This term’s theme is about Haunted Houses and the stories behind them!

Additionally, in this 8 session term course, students will learn how to

  1. Transform their ideas into structured stories and understand the elements of a compelling narrative
  2. Use story charts to visually plan their comics.
  3. Develop underdrawing, sketching, and inking skills

By the end of the term, each student will receive a printed copy their own original comic, along with a folder showcasing their creative process.

Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 12 students to ensure that each student receives the attention, feedback, and guidance necessary to succeed in this incredible creative endeavour.

Supplies including art materials, folders, and paper, are provided in class. Students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a nut free snack. Considering the nature of art classes, it’s also recommended that students wear comfortable clothing that they don’t mind getting a bit of ink and paint on :)

Term 4 Comics Draw-Along: A Mystery on the Nile!

About the Course

In this read-along style comic making class, we’ll be joining an iconic detective as we solve a mystery on the Nile ! 

Comics Draw-Along is ideal for students who enjoy choose your own adventure stories, who want to learn about the basics of making comics, and who love to take stories to silly places. Also recommended for first time comic makers. Over eight, 2 hour lessons, students will learn:

  1. The basics of designing and drawing characters, environments, creatures and objects.
  2. How to adapt a story into a comic of their very own
  3. The basics of comic creation, including how to use panels to pace a story, page layout, speech/thought balloons, depicting effects, and more

At the end of this term, students will receive a printed booklet of their comic and a folder documenting all of their work.

Class sizes are limited to a maximum of ten students to ensure that each one receives the guidance and attention they need to achieve their creative goals.

About the Course

For this term of Composing Comics, we’ll be learning how to tell character focused stories against the back drop of some camping chaos! This course is designed for students who wish to further develop what they’ve learned from Comics Draw-Along (or who already have a basic understanding of comics), who are confident in their drawing skills and wish to develop their storytelling abilities. We’ll also be learning how to incorporate watercolour, image transferring, and colour pencil into our comics!

Additionally, in this 8 session term course, students will learn how to
