About the Course
The school holidays is the perfect time for a Pokemon beach day! In this 3 hour workshop, we’ll be sculpting adorable water type Pokémon from polymer clay along with learning the following techniques to create this Summery setting:
- How to tint canvas fabric with water colour pencils to a beach setting
- How to embroider the waves of the ocean using needle and wool. This is very beginner friendly, and students will be guided every step of the way as they learn running stitch.
- How to make a beach chair from felt and a pipe-cleaner base
Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 12 to ensure that everyone has a unique, and personalised learning experience.
All supplies and tools are provided. As sewing needles and scissors will be used in this workshop, this class is recommended for children ages 8+. Since this is a 3 hour workshop, students will have a small break in the middle of the session. They are encouraged to bring a drink and a nut free snack.
Given the nature of art classes, it is also recommended that students wear comfortable clothing that they don’t mind getting a bit of paint on :)
If there are particular water type pokémon your child would like to make, it would be greatly appreciated if they brought in some printed reference images.

About the Course
In this 2 hour pom – pom making workshop we’ll learn how to create the fluffiest of bunnies (and adorable baskets!) from wool, felt, pipe cleaners, and beads! Perfect for bunny fans ages 6 and up :)
Class sizes are kept to a maximum of 12 to ensure that everyone has a unique, and personalised learning experience.
All supplies and tools are provided. Students are encouraged to bring a drink and a nut free snack.
Given the nature of art classes, it is also recommended that students wear comfortable clothing that they don’t mind getting a bit of glue on :)

Term 2 Exploring Comics: Yes Chef!

About the Course
In Exploring Comics, budding comic artists create original comics based on the term’s theme. This course is designed for students who want to create comics of their very own, who are confident in their drawing skills and wish to develop their comic storytelling abilities. “Yes Chef!” Is the theme for this term, imagine stories involving all sorts of food related chaos to idyllic cafe settings.
Additionally, in this 8 session term course, students will learn how to
- Transform their ideas into structured stories and understand the elements of a compelling narrative
- Use story charts to visually plan their comics.
- Develop underdrawing, sketching, and inking skills
By the end of the term, each student will receive a printed copy their own original comic, along with a folder showcasing their creative process.
Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 12 students to ensure that each student receives the attention, feedback, and guidance necessary to succeed in this incredible creative endeavour.
Supplies including art materials, folders, and paper, are provided in class. Students are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a nut free snack. Considering the nature of art classes, it’s also recommended that students wear comfortable clothing that they don’t mind getting a bit of ink and paint on :)

Term 2 Comic Draw-Along: Treasure Island!

About the Course
In this read-along style class, we’re sailing the seven seas as collaborate on a pirate themed story together and make our own comics!
Comics Draw-Along is ideal for students who enjoy choose your own adventure stories, who want to learn about the basics of making comics, and who love to take stories to silly places. Also recommended for first time comic makers. Over eight, 2 hour lessons, students will learn:
- The basics of designing and drawing characters, environments, creatures and objects.
- How to adapt a story into a comic of their very own
- The basics of comic creation, including how to use panels to pace a story, page layout, speech/thought balloons, depicting effects, and more
At the end of this term, students will receive a printed booklet of their comic and a folder documenting all of their work.
Class sizes are limited to a maximum of ten students to ensure that each one receives the guidance and attention they need to achieve their creative goals.

Term 2 Composing Comics: Alchemy and the Apothecary

About the Course
In Composing Comics, budding comic artists create original comics based on the term’s theme. This course is designed for students who wish to further develop what they’ve learned from Comics Draw-Along (or who already have a basic understanding of comics), who are confident in their drawing skills and wish to develop their storytelling abilities. We’ll be exploring the theme of “Alchemy and the Apothecary” (think of spells, potions, and themes of fantasy), and the kinds of adventures and stories inspired by this theme. We’ll also be learning how to incorporate watercolour and colour pencil into our comics as we explore wet and dry techniques!
Additionally, in this 8 session term course, students will learn how to
